Bjarne Grimstad has submitted his thesis entitled:
“Daily Production Optimization of Subsea Production Systems: Methods based on mathematical programming and surrogate modelling”
in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the degree of PhD in Engineering Cybernetics at the Department of Engineering Cybernetics, NTNU.
The following committee evaluated his thesis, trial lecture and defence:
- Professor Eduardo Camponogara, Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina
- Dr. ing. Berit Floor Lund, Kongsberg Renewables Technology AS, Trondheim
- Professor Lars Imsland, Department of Computer and Information Science, NTNU
Professor Lars Imsland, Department of Engineering Cybernetics, NTNU, was appointed as the administrator for the assessment commitee.
The trial lecture took place in Rådssalen, Main Building, NTNU, 23 October from 10:15 on the following given topic:
“Data driven modelling techniques – give an overview of state of the art, and discuss research, challenges and opportunites in the use of such techniques in petroleum production”
The defence took place in Rådssalen, Main Building, NTNU, 23 October from 13:15.
Bjarne Grimstad carried out his PhD work at the Department of Engineering Cybernetics and his main supervisor has been Professor Bjarne A. Foss
