The objective was to investigate the economic value of implementing integrated operations (IO) in the oil and gas company’s organizations and assets. We wanted to link academic evaluation methods and industrial KPI evaluations and to create a place where business and academic could meet to discuss current solutions and to suggest future ways to enhance the economic valuation. We also discussed to make such a workshop an annual event in Rio de Janeiro.
The economic valuation of implementing IO is about how to value economically implementation of new work processes, new organizational structures, new technology & R&D. We discussed how to improve the methods and solutions to meet the industry need. The workshop intends to suggest future approaches in economic valuation of IO for a tentative industry Joint Industry Project (JIP).
