The IO Center is organized and funded by 14 industrial partners (8 oil companies and 5 suppliers), 3 research partners and The Research Council of Norway.
The industrial partners consist of the following oil companies: BP, ConocoPhillips, Eni, GDF Suez, Petrobras, Shell, Statoil and Total and the following suppliers: Aker Solutions, DNV GL, FMC Technologies, IBM and Kongsberg Oil and Gas Technologies.
The research partners are the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Institute for Energy Technology (IFE) and SINTEF.
In addition several reknowned international universities contribute to the ongoing research programs, these are: Boston University, Carnegie Mellon University, Federal University of Santa Catarina, Stanford University, TU Delft, UC Berkeley and University of Central Florida.
